See it in action:
Watch how to search across a single contract, a folder, or your entire Platform to locate exactly what you need, fast.
📹 Video Note: This training video uses the legacy term "IDF" which has been renamed to "AffiniCore" in our March 2026 update. The functionality and features shown remain unchanged—only the terminology has been updated throughout this help center.

For step-by-step guidance, continue reading below.
1 Platform and folder search
The search bar is located on the Platform homepage. Enter your search term and click the search button or press Enter to run the search.

You can choose where to search:
- Search Platform — searches across all documents in your Platform
- Search Folder — searches within the currently selected folder
The number of results found is displayed at the bottom right of the results screen.
2 Previewing results
The results screen allows you to preview content before opening a document:
- Click the expand icon next to any result to preview the content of that clause
- Click Preview to preview all results at once
Results display the clause, book title, folder, project, ranking, parties and date of execution. Click the clause title link to open the book at that exact clause.

3 Filtering search results
Use the column-header dropdowns in the results list to filter by book, folder, project, or other attributes — useful for narrowing results across a large Platform.

4 Book search
To search within a single open book, use the search bar located above the Table of Contents. Results appear below the search bar, listing each clause that contains the search term. Click any result to jump directly to that clause, where your search term is highlighted.

5 Saving a search
Click Save to retain a search for future reference. Give the search a name and, optionally, share it with other users in your group. Saved searches are accessible below the Platform structure on the Platform homepage, and can be filtered and re-run at any time.

Saved searches store your filter settings, not a snapshot of results. Each time you open a saved search, it runs afresh — capturing any updates made to Platform documents since you last ran it.
6 Boolean searching
For more precise searching, use Boolean operators including AND, OR, NOT, NEAR, wildcard characters, and phrase matching. See Refining searches with Boolean operators for full guidance.
7 Exporting search results
To export a search report, click Export to Excel and select Excel spreadsheet (XLSX). The download includes the search results and clause extracts, which you can annotate with your own notes.
