Watch how the Analysis Tracker lets you highlight and capture clause-level content from across your Platform, building an ordered report you can annotate, compare, and analyse in one place.
📹 Video Note: This training video uses the legacy term "IDF" which has been renamed to "AffiniCore" in our March 2026 update. The functionality and features shown remain unchanged—only the terminology has been updated throughout this help center.

For step-by-step guidance, continue reading below.
1 Creating an Analysis Track
To start an Analysis Track, highlight the first section of text you want to capture — this can be a single line or multiple consecutive clauses. A floating menu appears — select Analysis Tracking, then choose Add selection to a new track.

Give the track a title that reflects its purpose (for example, "Insurance Review" or "Lessons Learned — Phase 1"). You can also choose to share the track with other users at this stage.

Click Save and Start. The selected text is highlighted in the document to indicate it has been captured.

2 Adding sections to a track
Once a track is started, you can continue adding sections from any book in the Platform. Highlight the relevant text, select Analysis Tracking from the floating menu, then choose Add to Current Track.
An analysis track icon appears against each captured clause in the book.

3 Sharing an Analysis Track
When creating or editing a track, select the user group(s) you want to share it with. Shared tracks and their entries are visible to all members of the selected group. Tracks not shared remain private to you.
4 Accessing an Analysis Track
Your Analysis Tracks are accessible in two ways:
- In the book — click the analysis track icon next to any captured clause
- Platform homepage — access all your Analysis Tracks from the homepage
Analysis Track report — captured sections with source details, notes field, and re-ordering controls
5 Working with your track
Once you have captured the clauses you want to analyse, you can:
- Add notes to each captured section
- Re-order the captured sections as needed
- Export the completed report to PDF
6 Adding commentary
Open any entry in the track to add or edit your commentary. You can record analysis, flag issues, capture observations, or note follow-up actions. Commentary is date-stamped and attributed to the user who created it, providing a clear audit trail of the analytical work conducted on the contract.
