AffiniAI

AffiniAI is the AI module included in every Affinitext licence. It works directly on top of the contracts in your AffiniCore Platform — the same fully executed, fully conformed, up-to-date documents your team works with every day — to answer questions, draft documents, build timelines, and more.

Powered by GPT-4.1, AffiniAI understands your contracts as connected documents. It follows cross-references, resolves defined terms, and traces obligations through amendment chains to give you accurate, source-linked answers. Every response includes clause citations so you can navigate directly to the source text and validate the answer.

1  Accessing AffiniAI

AffiniAI can be accessed via the Platform homepage or within a book.

2  What you can do with AffiniAI

2.1  Interrogate your contracts

Ask AffiniAI any question about your contracts in plain language. It analyses the relevant provisions, follows the contract logic, and returns a clear, structured answer.

For example: the Contractor has found bones onsite. What are the contractual obligations? Ask AffiniAI. It identifies the relevant clauses, sets out the required steps, and presents defined terms as pop-up definitions — so you can understand and validate the answer without losing your place.

2.2  Draft notices and correspondence

Once AffiniAI has identified a contractual obligation — for example, that a notice must be issued — ask it to draft the notice. AffiniAI draws on the contract provisions to include the required details, correct notice periods, and any prescribed form or content requirements.

2.3  Build timelines

Ask AffiniAI to set out the key dates, milestones, and sequential requirements across your contracts as a structured timeline.

For example, ask AffiniAI to set out the handback requirements for a PFI project. It identifies and orders the relevant obligations chronologically. You can then ask it to present those requirements as a timeline — a clear, structured sequence of events ready to share with your team.

2.4  Create flowcharts

Ask AffiniAI to turn any process or sequence of obligations into a flowchart. This is useful for making complex contractual processes quickly navigable — for review meetings, project briefings, or operational handbooks.

3  Source citations and validation

Every AffiniAI response includes clause citations linked directly to the source text in your Platform. Click any citation to navigate to the relevant provision and read it in full context. Defined terms are surfaced as pop-up definitions so you can follow the contract's logic without leaving the AffiniAI panel.

This source-linking is what makes AffiniAI responses reliable and auditable. You are never asked to take an answer on trust — you can always go back to the contract.
